YOUTH ROUND-UP: COLTS FINISH HOME CAMPAIGN ON CHINNOR HIGH

All the latest from around the age groups!

A MIXED Colts team signed off in style with a 43-14 win in their final home game against OBB champions Chinnor.

The first period was an even affair, but it was Rams who led 12-0 after Jordan Navetta added to his own try before Matt Croft dotted down.

The hosts turned on the style after the break, taking control with Teagan Strydom and Sammy Maffin tries inside four minutes.

Navetta converted the latter before a Chinnor seven-pointer got the Thame men off the mark.

Rams replied, though, Navetta again on target after Cobe Kisitu crossed the whitewash.

And the kicker landed again after Luke Townsend went over.

Chinnor refused to yield and cut the gap with their second of the afternoon, but it was Henry Cook who had the final word with the last play of the game.

The Under 16s won at Ruislip, while the U15s edged a thrilling contest 34-26 at Marlborough.

One U14 team put in a credible effort at Bath’s Road to the Rec competition, beating Supermarine and Frome while losing to North Dorset in the group stage.

This meant a second-placed finish before a draw with Henley Hawks in the knock-out stage ended their run.

The other U14 side endured a tricky day with a 66-26 reverse at Farnham.

Rams outscored Reading Abbey 13 tries to four at Old Bath Road in the U13 fixture.

There is no action today as we wish all members of the Ramily a Happy Easter!
