RAMS name four first-team pre-season try-scorers in a strong 25-man squad for the Under 23s game at Oxford Harlequins tonight (7.30pm).
Full back and former Mini Theo Pett-Ridge produced a brilliant interception score against Clifton in the 40-14 victory at Old Bath Road 12 days ago.
Bath University graduate Oli Sedgwick touched down down at Aberavon on Saturday, while Reading Uni speedster David Ajisafe starts on the left wing.
Wrecking ball inside centre Isaac Tokura and former junior, Paddy Brown, are in midfield.
Two-time BB&O Colts title-winner Matt Cox starts at fly-half, with youthful Welshman Arthur Garfield at No. 9.
The scrum-half is Epsom College’s most-capped first-team player.
Arthur has 48 appearances including a Twickenham final back in March.
Loose-head prop Ollie Ireland came through the junior set-up before representing South West Under 20s in the summer.
Hooker Harry Bicknell is the third player to have already crossed the whitewash this term, Jake Scott rounding out the front row.
Will Saunders and Seb Burgess – the fourth five-point man – are paired in the second row.
Reading Uni man Jacob Kyte is on the blind-side flank, with ex-Colts skipper Aaron Preston at No. 7.
Former Bath Academy tyro Darren Bold completes the starting line-up.
There is plenty of prowess among the substitutes, with Josh Jones and fit-again Andrich Skien providing alternative front row options.
South African dynamo Tegan Strydom was last year’s Colts’ Players’ Player of the Year and will be ready for action in the back row.
Similarly, Abingdon School powerhouse George Bottomley and Will Parsons add further options further back in the pack.
Elliott Jones can play at scrum or fly-half, while Luke Thorpe was one of the stars of the show in midfield during the Colts’ back-to-back title-winning campaigns.
James Barker-Lopez was a stand-out performer as Berkshire Under 20s reached the semi-finals of the Under 20s County Championship, Reading Uni flyer Ethan Bassett also a frequent try-scorer for both the county and the Rams Development side last term.
Another two-time Colts champion, Finlay Wells, completes the squad covering centre and the back three.
