SUPER LUCY EARNS ENGLAND UNDER 21s CALL

SUPER LUCY EARNS ENGLAND UNDER 21s CALL

Rich Ashton3 Mar - 12:00

Trail-blazing ex-junior Siren set to make more history with Red Roses!

FORMER Mini Lucy Simpson’s journey towards a full England cap continues with the hooker included in the Under 21s’ Six Nations squad.

Having starred in Premiership Women’s Rugby for Gloucester Hartpury during the past couple of years, Lucy is among the 34 picked for the tournament.

The history-maker previously became the first Rams’ girl to play for England when making her U18s bow against Scotland at the 2023 Six Nations Festival.

And a year later she bagged her first international try versus Wales as England again finished as runners-up to France.

Lucy will now hope to be involved when England travel to Scotland on April 18 in the opening game.

A change of format means the Red Roses then host Ireland on May 2, before completing their campaign at home to France (May 10).

Whereas previously all six countries played each other during a single-week event, the new system has been introduced to replicate the training week/match status of the senior Six Nations.

*Congratulations Lucy and good luck for the tournament!
