KIND-HEARTED BEN TAKING ON SNOWDON FUNDRAISER

Atkins to put his mountain hiking boots on later this month!

BACK row Ben Atkins is going mountain climbing to raise money for Action for Children.

The 38-cap Ram, who has scored 13 National One tries since joining the club in the summer of 2023, is off to Wales to try and scale Mount Snowdon, the highest peak over the border.

Standing at 1,085m tall, it is a big task for Ben and his team, who have set an initial target of £400.

The former Forest School student said: “Let’s be honest, I’m not exactly built for mountaineering, but this challenge is real, and it’s for a cause which couldn’t be more important.

“Action for Children supports kids across the UK who are facing incredibly tough starts in life poverty, neglect, abuse, or simply a lack of opportunity.

“These children don’t need pity, they need people who care enough to take action. That’s why I’m doing this.

“Every donation, big or small makes a real difference. And if you can’t donate, a like or share on social media would mean the world.”
