RAMS Colts begin their latest National Cup campaign at home to Marlow in round one on Sunday (1.30pm).

It is a repeat of last season’s opener which the hosts won en route to the last 16.

They were eventually edged out 13-8 by eventual semi-finalists Dorking.

But with plenty of the 2025/26 side still intact, Rams will look to continue their impressive recent record in the competition.

The previous season they again exited in the last 16 at the hands of a Rosslyn Park side who went onto be crowned champions.

And the 2023/24 side made the semi-finals before going down at Dorking.
The Surrey men also took the silverware.

The Colts have begun the season well with victories at Dorking and Old Guildfordians on the opening weekend.

And the Extras triumphed at Reading Abbey seven days later.

There were two one-score away losses last week at Bishop’s Stortford (21-19) and Basingstoke (22-19), but confidence is high in the camp.

Cup games in the past three years have attracted large crowds and we hope Sunday will be the same again.

Food end drink will be on sale as we hope to hear another big Ramily roar.
