RAMS Colts will hunt a place in the last 16 of the National Cup for the third year in a row when they welcome Windsor to Old Bath Road on Sunday (1.30pm).
Semi-finalists two seasons ago and beaten at champions Rosslyn Park last time out, Dave Cox’s side were handed a bye into the last 32 as Beaconsfield were unable to raise a side.
In the first round, Rams produced an excellent display to beat Marlow 50-5.
First-half tries from JJ McCarthy, Teagan Strydom, Jake Bruton, Josh Gouws and Henry Cook, plus 11 points from the boot of Jordan Navetta, had the hosts 36-5 up at the break.
And while Marlow continued to battle, Sam Rodger and Will Luff crossed to complete the scoring.
Windsor, though, produce a major threat, sitting top of OBB Division One with three wins from three following a 50-0 success against Marlow on Sunday.
Their cup progress has been relatively serene as well, a 37-15 triumph at Maidenhead following a 22-10 success on the road in Guildford.
Rams and Windsor played out one of the best Colts’ encounters in recent times back in March, the hosts edging it 22-20, and another lively clash is on the cards.
Entry is free with food and drink on sale.
